Anti-BO is a little utility that sits in your system tray and
awaits any potential hackers scanning the Internet for people that are infected
with Trojan type programs, such as Back Orifice.
Anti-BO logs the timestamp and IP of the attacker so you can report them and
possibly get them in trouble. It has support to be setup on many custom ports,
so you can specify any new public ports being either UDP or TCP. Anti-BO replies
a custom message to your Netbus attackers, and for those that attempt to use
Back Orifice on you, their BOGUI (program they use to attack you) will "freeze"
making it harder to scan your ‘sub-net’.
Anti-BO also comes with a built-in system scanner, this system scanner searches
the registry in your startup groups for common Trojan entries, if you are found
to be infected, Anti-BO will terminate this program from starting at startup,
thus making you clean after a reboot.
Anti-BO is the most popular Anti Trojan program released, with the latest
release being downloaded over 500 times in the first 2 days. If even more people
were protected with Anti-BO, this could cause attackers to be discouraged from
future scans, and possibly help stop future developments of future Trojans.
