The Wobblies
Rooted in Corvallis Oregon, the Wobblies have been playing their own brand of punk rock since the summer of 2002. Combining the styles of early British punk rock and 90s Bay Area punk, they impose a blend of rock and roll, punk/ska, anthem and street punk and oi upon those caught under their wave of relentless energy. Their leftist anthems are complimented by songs of whiskey drinking, sailor's ballads, and union rights. The name itself, in fact, is derived from the nickname givien to the International Workers of the World, an anarcho-communist labor union which resisted the heavy-handed corporate governement of the early 20th century.
