I have contended all along that this is not about the safety of the President, but that this hoopla is intended for public consumption. I have also said that if the incident involved only two students, why not just deal with them? Why bring in all my students from both classes?
In my day class (in which no students were involved), for example, not only did the representative of the FBI interview them, but she also told them that "a Psych teacher had the roster of [Ballou's] class and that his students would be sending 'threatening'emails to [my] students." At least three of my students felt that "she wasn't hearing the story she wanted to hear" and that "this was an attempt at intimidation". All of them, however, were astonished and angry.
I have since learned that this didn't really happen. At any rate, how hypocritical of the school and law enforcement to complain about my hypothetical exercise while performing a very un-hypothetical exercise of their own.
