Issue 2

For this issue I will be borrowing from quite a number of sources. It doesn’t draw directly from any one myth for the plot, but rather draws elements and themes from all over Sumerian mythology. Thematically this chapter is most like the processional myths where a story is tied to the journey of a major idol from one city to the next. The descriptions of the underworld are drawn primarily from the Udug Hul texts, Enlil and Sud, and the death of Ningishzida, but the story predates all major structures.

For this entire issue we will be putting out material at a bit of a faster rate than we have been. If that works out well I will try to increase the pace again for issue 3. (Enki and the Order of the Universe)
