-Can swim up to 25 miles an hour

-Have groups for the intelligent and social lions that congregate on land (colonies), smaller groups of ocean swimmers (rafts) and have specified breeding grounds (rookeries).

-Sea Lions have good eyesight but no color vision.

-Sea Lions don’t chew most of their food, but rather they swallow it whole.

-On land Sea Lions “bounce” on all four flippers.

-California Sea Lions are known to have a “bark” when communicating with other Lions in the area.
