Well actually, Elisabeth's more or less reading it and reading the highlights to me. But it's still pretty scary stuff. You'll relate, I'm sure.

Anyway, the Kite Runner looks fascinating. I've never heard of long distance kite flying. Or do they just do it while going in circles around a track?

It's a book by an Afghan writer, about the Russian occupation and the general war-torn nature of Afghanistan from the 70s on, but it's told through the friendship of two young boys, one of whom is the servant to the other. I'll let you know how the kites factor in... I've just got to that part!
