Stephen & Elisabeth in England
Thursday, 7 July 2005
Joking Aside,
Topic: Stephen Says
I was supposed to go into London for some training this morning and am quite happy that I chose instead to get pissed, sing karaoke & eat curry last night, which negated my ability to get my act together enough this morning to get up in time.

oh thank goodness.
i didn't bother getting worried, because I thought... why would either of you have been in London today? but i'm glad glad glad you weren't there.

What a crazy, awful, sad & miserable thing.

In a day or two once all this bru-ha-ha has calmed down, I'm going to write something comparing how incredibly well the British people, media & social services dealt with all this to North America. I'm actually very, very impressed. Kudos, England!

Meanwhile, I'll leave you all with this thought that Elisabeth had last night - This is the kind of thing (and worse) that happens in Baghdad every single day. It's sad to think that, even when these kinds of things happen, we're still the lucky ones.

Thank you Jake for your comment. I have heard many times on the radio of how people's friends and family in America have often been the first to react in checking-in and expressing sympathy and concern. You are no exception and we appreciate your thoughts.
