A Day in Guildford

Elisabeth and I spent a day in Guildford. Old, historic Guildford. Home of larger shopping malls than in Woking, bearded women, and one or two other things. It was originally a coach town, located smack-dab between London and Portsmouth. As a result there are lots of re-furbished coach houses:

And a really, really, old clock. I can't remember how old it is, exactly, but I'm pretty sure that it says how old it is in this picture that, unfortunately, I can't see right now as I type this.

And finally, there's the historic guild hall that Guildford is, naturally, named after. Many guldspeople were stern figures who sat in poofy chairs, chewed on their spectacles and made important decisions like whose knee caps do I break for non-payment of dues? How will this decision impact my relationship with Uncle Junior? And how does Paulie Walnuts hair do that and is it real or a dye job?
