Southerland Falls

Southerland Falls. Higher than Niagra

Southerland, a bit closer

Southerland Falls was named by a flip of the coin. Two early explorers to the area were McKay (I think) and Southerland. A bit further up the trail, they flipped a coin and McKay won, getting a much less impressive falls named after him. A few miles later, Southerland got the nod. Lucky guy. The falls create a roar you can hear for some distance before seeing it. You can stand under the falls, but I chose to view it from here. :)

Waterfall #2,653

Picture yourself walking along a stream that does this for miles. And then imagine dipping your water bottle in and taking a deep draught of crystal clear ambrosia that's flowing here. Ahhhh! ~~~~~
