Staff has been waiting for all this to come to a "head" they just did not know who was going to take the hit for the Big Boys. Well, this week we know who was set up to be blammed for Management, again. See, even though these people are guilty as sin, its the Big Guys that we need to bust. Hopefully, some sort of "deal" will be cut if they talk. But, as we know, politics will get in the way of arresting who is really responsible for the Steriod problem. Maybe not, but more than likely."

"All this happened about a week, two weeks at the most. I don't have an exact date. Clark is warden at New River now. Marcus Starling is AKA Marcus Hodges, Starling is all that I have ever known him by (and I have known him his whole life). I don't believe he and Clark are related. He just got recruited because he plays ball. Clark likes him because of the steroids and xxx pills.
"It was rumored that Clark was coming to UCI because Crosby was moving Union's warden as far away as he could get him to make room for his people. They say Clark in the next 6 months will be in Tallahassee so Crosby can groom him for deputy secretary. I am sure that will happen too if we don't expose them.
"What I have gathered is he has been a girlfriend beater his whole life. Well he beat on this last one too. She told on him for xxx, pills, pot and steroids. His girlfriend told the DEA where to find all the goods and gave a list of names, including AC Clark. The investigation is far from over, everyone is talking at work.
"Maybe you have more sources than I, but I'm sure the Gainesville sun would love to hear about this. If you check around you could verify this info. "90% of us in the correctional field would love to see AC Clark go down and make Crosby look like an ass, but I am sure Crosby will cover up for his boys and they will come out smelling like a rose. Drugs and violence leads to multiple arrests

Local investigators got a tip from Sgt. Holborow in Palm Beach County, Florida on October 26, that a large amount of pills were in a safe or a lock box at a Macclenny residence. The tip came after the arrest of a Macclenny man currently working in his county. Marcus Dwayne Hodges, also known as Marcus Starling, was arrested on drug charges in Palm Beach County.
Following the tip, Investigator Gerald Rhoden, Investigator Steve Harvey and Sgt. Thomas Dyal went to the residence of Hodges’ sister, Rebecca Starling and Steven Bledsoe lives.
Approximately 10 minutes after arriving, Ms. Starling arrived home and received a phone call from Mr. Bledsoe in Palm Beach County to cooperate with the BCSO.
Starling escorted the officers to the lock box and as she unlocked it, she stated the only thing in the box that belonged to her were the title to her land and a pistol. Inside the box were two large pharmacy bottles of Hydrocodone tablets containing approximately 750 pills; two bottles of Lorocet containing 110 tablets; three bottles Viagara containing 60 tablets; three bottles Alprazolam (the generic for Xanax); 1 fully loaded 9mm hand gun, two newspaper clippings with pictures of Hodges and a story about him being drafted by the Minnesota Twins; $284 in currency, a 1.5 Carat ladies gold diamond ring, a men’s diamond gold ring, one necklace charm of a gold baseball glove; one Florida mobile home registration in the name of the suspect and Rebecca Starling; and a checkbook with the account name of Marcus D. Starling.
In an interview, Ms. Starling stated that her brother, Marcus, had brought the box over about 8 days ago before going down south to do roofing work. She was not aware of what was in the box until she opened it to put the land title and pistol in it. She said she was going to question him when he came home.
Ms. Starling’s boyfriend, Steven Bledsoe was also interviewed. He had stated in a written statement to Palm Beach Law Enforcement that the pills found at his residence belonged to him. Once being interviewed he recanted that statement. When asked why, he told Investigators that he had been scared he was going to lose his kids because if he did not take the blame his wife would be arrested for the pills.
Hodges called BCSO and advised them that he would be in Oct 27, around 11 a.m. to talk with them about the evidence they found with his attorney present. Later that same evening about 8 p.m. Sheriff Dobson receives a call from Hodges family saying that he had "gone crazy", throwing C beer bottles at a vehicle, busting out windows and threatening to kill members of his family along with requesting money.
Sheriff Dobson called Hodges by phone and requested him to show back up at the residence. When he did he was arrested by Deputy Benjamin Anderson for aggravated assault along with criminal mischief to property. He refused to answer any questions without his lawyer present.
Hodges is considered a flight risk because he is being investigated by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), the US Postal Inspectors as well as other law enforcement agencies.
Hodges was charged with trafficking of Hydrocodone, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sale, and criminal mischief. He was released after posting $15,000 bond for the drug charges and $2,500 for the criminal mischief charge.
In the continuing fallout from the arrest of Hodges, Jeremy Johnson, who had been working down south with Hodges and Bledsoe, went to the residence to retrieve his property and travel trailer. When he arrived, he found the RV had been severely damaged by some type of blunt object. When he tried to hook the RV up, Steven Bledsoe allegedly exited the residence and fired a shot gun. The victim and the witnesses left the scene and met Sgt. Crews, Sgt Ross and Deputy David Morgan at the S & S food store.
When officers went to the residence they found Bledsoe preparing to leave town. He admitted hitting the RV with a sledge hammer and firing the gun in the air. Bledsoe was arrested and transported to BCDC where he was charged with aggravated assault, discharge of a firearm in public and improper exhibit of a firearm.
"Pills have gotten to be a big thing," said BCSO Chief Robert Brannan. He noted that the investigation is continuing and they expect further arrests.
