FDOC SUICIDES
"NORTH FLORIDA HAS ALWAYS BEEN A HOT BED FOR TROUBLE WITH OFFICERS. I WORKED AT HENDRY CI, FOR 5 YEARS. HENDRY WAS RUN BY THE GOOD OLE BOYS TOO. I WAS A HARD WORKER SO I DID OK. WE HAD A MAJOR THERE WHO WAS A VERY GOOD FRIEND OF MINE. HE WAS AN EXCELLENT MAJOR AND WOULD GO RIGHT UP THE LADDER. HE TOLD ME ONCE THAT MIKE RATHMAN, THEN IN CHARGE OF ALL INSTITUTIONS, WANTED HIM TO GO TO FLORIDA STATE AS A COLONEL AND CLEAN THE PLACE UP. WHEN I ASKED THE MAJOR IF HE WAS GOING TO TAKE THE PROMOTION, HE REPLIED "HELL, NO. YOU'D FIND MY BODY IN A SHALLOW GRAVE OUT IN THE WOODS. THOSE BOYS DON'T MESS AROUND." TODAY HE IS A COL. IN CENTRAL FL. AND WANTS TO STAY A COL."
"Kay, I'm a long time employee of the DOC and for the reasons that everyone knows choose to hide my identity, but I have stood by too long and "watched" these criminals destroy the DOC. The following is not guessing, it's facts and should not be taken lightly.
1990 D. Chapman was investigating staff abuse after the cross city ci riots when he shots his 2 children, wife and then himself. He had expressed his concerns about death threats nights before.
It happened in a staff house (wooden house) on institutional grounds 50 feet from the next house and nobody heard the shots. Warden Crosby and Sgt. Clark were employees of Cross City then.
Later when Clark was reassigned to Lancaster CI because of his employee club fund abuse, investigator Crews was looking into staff abuse charges on Clark when he shot himself.
Captain Timothy Potts Gulf CI killed himself in 2005 after the Party where Clark assaulted a citizen, Clark was Regional Director. Captain Davison, ball player, outside grounds officer (in or around recycling) worked for Clark. Shot himself. Am I the only person that can see this or does Allen Clark have the worst luck?
Mr. James Victor Crosby, along with Allen Clark handed Jeb a check for $67,000 in Palatka when Jeb was running for re-election, recycling money? How can Mr. Crosby states he did not know what was going on with AC they were best friends spending more time off duty with each other than their own family. Crosby hired Clark, and promoted Clark each time, How can a man in charge not know what is going on in his Institution/department.
Lieutenant Bobby Ruise does have a homemade trailer made by inmate labor and as soon as he was contacted by FDLE he called C. Phillips, Crosby's ex-wife to relay a message to Crosby for help. Sure hope Bobby doesn't end up dead!
Ask how and why M. Crawford was promoted from Correctional Officer to Major, according to her "if you got enough money you can get what you want in the Department!"
Ask how Ricky Dixon got promoted faster than Clark himself to Colonel? From Sergeant to Captain without a interview, then to CSA and to Major within 6 months, now a Colonel with less time than most Sergeants. Could it be that Clark and Crosby owed Ricky's father retired assistant warden Jerry Dixon from Cross City CI a favor?
How did Wayne Archie got promoted when he is border-line illiterate, maybe he and a dozen other employees need drug testing for Steroids? People like Palmer, Lammp, Griffis, Frye, Bowen, Ellis, Crews, Barnett and Hodgson just to name a few. I guess promotions/money keeps mouths shut in some cases, in others, well I know what happens.
As far as the Sports, well the majority of DOC employees hate it. It has caused the moral to drop to all time lows, staff have to work their days off to cover for players or players are given administrative shifts or weekends off no matter what their seniority is.
Employee club functions are dominated by sports and most institutions don't have employee days like before because of the lack of funds. By the way FSP under Mr. Crosby was the first to hire OPS employees to play ball.
The use of inmate labor and state equipment is not uncommon but the norm, motors bought for state vehicles and put in personal vehicles, which brings up Kevin Dean, the kettle calling the pot black, Kevin needs to explain where he got the brick he has at his home and where and how he got the Ford Bronco.
The point is this with over 28,000 DOC employees less than 1% play sports but dominate the Department. With over 28,000 employees less than 1% are engaged in these illegal activities but have jeopardized everyone careers. I'll be the first to say get rid of the sports for everyone's sake!
The Valdez case, well the family should ask for a copy of the telephone recordings from that night, staff calls, you know the one to Warden Crosby from Captain Thornton to get authorization for a cell extraction. If there is no recordings what happen to them?
According to ex-Sergeant Walter Battles, Mr. Crosby asked his wife, who was a RN at Florida State Prison to "fix" the medical records from Valdez's medical exam to cover the staff involved. Then after the firing of Thornton, Mr. Crosby asked Sheriff Whitehead for a favor, to hire Thornton at the county jail. Later this favor was returned by hiring Brad Whitehead as a Correctional Service Administrator, although Brad had experience with the State Fire Marshall's Officer he had never worked in the DOC and now he is a Senior Inspector. Again please keep my e-mail address confidential Thank you."
