if it weren't for this brown-eyed sweetie's soulful voice, the moffatts may not be around today. dave is the one who got the whole thing started by singing the song "somewhere out there" from the movie an american tale. he was at a pageant that his mother was supposed to be participating in, and during a free moment, four-year-old dave grabbed the microphone and belted out the famous tune. it was that particular incident that fed the moffatts' desire for fame.
