Tarrnished gold and smiles so cruel.
Joy complete ... I think not:
For vows unbroken are what's sought.
What components of a man:
Just flesh and bone and strength in hand.
But deeds reflect the heart inside:
The deeds themself the heart can't hide.
What you sow you now must reap:
You plow a field for your deceit.
Crops that flurish as they're fed:
Shall bring course brambles for your bed.
Mirrowed sorrow pounds your head:
And swollen eyes glow hope undead.
You shall know the broken heart:
That you did sow and did impart.
You shall live with pain your thought;
The deeps you've sown you've priced and bought.
You shall weep and cry and moan:
The broken heart shall be your own.
Here Is A Great Poem By My Friend Anne!
Beginning Eternity
When death is sweet,
and flowers die,
and ravens sing
a lull-a-bye,
I'll close my eyes,
and go to sleep,
no dreams I'll dream,
no worries I'll keep.
No mem'ries of
my life there'll be,
I'll sleep in sweet
eternity.
While my mind fades
and turns to dust,
the world moves on
in sweet august.
Ok, I swore I would never do this, but here is one of my own poems. Try not to laugh too hard *S*
Blow Out Your Candles, Laura
Blow Out Your Candles, Laura
The Dreams That Haunt Your Sleep
Will Soon Fade Into Memory
No Longer Will You Weep.
Blow Out Your Candles, Laura
Another Year Has Passed
And Still The Pain Of Yesterday
Is Vividly Unmasked
Blow Out Your Candles, Laura
The Time Is Drawing Near
Its Time To End This Misery,
To Let Go Of Your Fear.
Blow Out Your Candles, Laura
Your Final Curtain Call
The Pain That Once Was Just Your Own
Now Lives Within Us All.
Ok, and is that wasnt bad enough Im going to put another one of my poems here.
This one is free verse.
The Vine
Im twisting around on a long, flimsy vine,
that is ready to break. Trying to hold on.
It took such effort just to get here, one wrong move and it
all falls apart.
Is this fair? Can life really be that cruel? I cant hold
on much longer. Im losing my grip.
There has to be a better way, a stonger vine.
Have I chosen the wrong one?
Im getting weaker, but Ill just hang on.
Ill hang, and Ill twist, and wait until the vine breaks and I fall...
Ok, well, thats it for now. Hey! What are you laughing at??? If you have something better, E-MAIL me!
