Henry WIlliam Day Sr.
Born: January 29, 1855
Bedfordshire, England

At the age of 15 years he came to America with his brothers, most likely entering through
Nova Scotia, Canada.
After brief stops in Canada and Illinois, the three brothers settles at Richmond Texas.
The year was 1860.

Henry was a member of the Congreationalist Church. He met and married Caledonia Linton
at Richmond.She had been born in 1857 in the Bayour area of East Texas.
Their marriage was at Richmond, Fort Bend County, Texas in 1878.

They had three children, all sons:
[1] Felix Day born in 1879 at Richmond, Texas
[2] Whitbread Day born in 1882 at Richmond Texas
[He died when he was 5 years old at Richmond, TX]
[3] Henry Willian Day Jr. born AUgust 28, 1887 at Richmond Texas

In 1889 the family, Henry and Caledonia and two sons, left their home at the Sugarlands
and went to California where Henry Day Sr.'s brother John Day had earlier gone to settle.

John Day resideded at Huntington Park.

Henry Day and his wife Caledonia made their home at nearby Whittier. They lived their for
four years. In 1893 the family moved to the Wood Colony, near Modesto, California.
