 My g-g-grandfather was Roswell MERRICK DAY, also descended from Robert>Thomas. I wondered
 where the MERRICK came from. Possibly from your Capt. MERRICK.

My GGparents were born in Ireland, dates unknown. Martin Hefferan (spelled several ways) married Mary Anna Day. They moved to USA to Pa. Their first of 9 children was born in 1867.
