John Day I - b. Oct. 12, 1597 in St. Marks, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England.
Married Elizabeth Mason (b. abt 1600 in St. Marks, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England) on Apr. 10, 1619 in St. Luke's Church,
Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England.

John and Elizabeth Day sailed on the March, 1620 voyage of the ship "The London Merchant" and arrived at Hog Island, Virginia.
John Day is listed as "one of Sir George Yearley's men."

Under the Mulberry Island Project a 1624 Census (muster) of Hog Island shows John Day, age 24, wife unknown, again as one of Sir George Yearley's Men.
The census shows John Day's year of arrival as 1620 arriving on the London Merchant. All of this information can be confirmed
in the Hotten Book from the Musters of the Inhabitants in Virginia 1624/1625.

John Day I and Elizabeth Mason Day had eight (8) children, all born on Hog Island, Surrey Co., Virginia:

1. John Day II b. 1621
2. James Day b. abt 1622
3. Elizabeth Day b. abt 1624
4. Sarah Day b. abt 1625
5. Thomas Day b. abt 1627
6. Henry Day b. abt 1628 (assumed twin of Lewis)
7. Lewis Day b. abt 1628 (assumed twin of Henry)
8. Peter Day b. abt 1632

John Day I is my 8th Great-Grandfather. My line comes down through John Day II, John Day III, Henry Day I, John R. Day I,
John Davis Day, Martin H. Day, William Martin Day,William Orlin Day, and myself Fay LaNelle Day (maiden name).

My dad, William Orlin Day was born in 1902 in Indian Territory - died in 1968.

I have hit a brick wall as to John Day I's ancestry in England.
