While searching for her Hiram Day, Lin came across this unrelated
Hiram Day's Death Certificate and wanted to share it.
This Hiram does not connect with the Hiram listed below.

HIRAM DAY
Hiram was born 1799/1800 in either Va/Ky. He was married in Floyd Co., KY to Lydia LOGAN, d/o James and Caroline Hughes Logan. 1830 they lived in Morgan Co., KY with 4 children......3 boys and a girl. Two of the children were; Travis Benjamin, b 1827 and Ann D. b ca 1825. In the late 1830's, Hiram received two Kentucky Land Warrants for land in Lewis and Greenup Co's. 1840's; they are not found in any county census, but did own and sell land in Carter Co. 1850-54; This family is listed in the 1850 census for Lewis Co., Ky., with the following information; Hiram Day age 50 Lydia 50 Ann D. 25 Mary Ann (Polly) 16 Elizabeth 15 Julia A. 11 Daniel D. 10 Lydia A. 1 Mary Ann (Polly) married Joseph D. Ford and had a daughter, Lydia Margaret, b 1854. Joseph married Mary Mann in 1857, so Polly must have died. Daniel Dillon Day married Harriett Elizabeth Setters in 1860 Lewis Co and ended up in Illinois. In 1854, a law suit in which Hiram went bail for a William Day (probably another son) and where Ann, Elizabeth and Polly testified at the trial. 1854; William Day married Sarah Patton and Hiram signed the marriage bond. 1860-GONE ----- Can find no trace of this family. Who were his parents? Where was he born? Who were his siblings? Where did they die? I'm reasonably sure that he isn't in the 'witness' protection program and also that he does have parents.....somewhere. This is a 35+ year search, so one week may not be enough!
