78. History of Green Co Wis, 1148, Albro Crowel with his wife and one child accompanied by his brother, Chester, came from Wyoming Co., N.Y., in 1841. ....Part of the village is on this land. Mr. Crowel sold his farm in 1858, and moved to Kansas, where the same year his wife died. The following spring he returned to this town and bought a farm on section 25, where he died in Feb 1880. His brother, Chester Crowel, married Lydia Ann Day, in November, 1843. This was the first matrimonial event in town (York). They went to Iowa in 1854, and shortly after to Kansas, where he died in 1875.
