To all People to Whom these Presents Shall Come greeting know Ye that I Ephraim Day of Winhall In the
County of Bennington & State of Vermont In America for the Consideration of the Love & good Will Which
I have for my Daughter Dorothy Barrett of Winhall In the County of Bennington & State of Vermont
& furthermore for the Duties She has Done to Me have Given granted made Over & Confirmed unto her
the Sd. Dorothy Barrett her heirs & Assigns forever One Certain Peice of Land Lying In Sd. Winhall
Containing Twenty five Acres & Is Part of the Eight Lot In the Sixth Range of Lots Beginning at the
Southeast Corner of Benjamin Barretts Land & from there Running South At the East Line of Sd. Lot
Some forty five Rods then West A Parrellel Line With the North Line Eighty Nine Rods then North
forty five Rods to Benjamin Barretts Southwest Corner then East Eighty Nine Rods to the first
Mentioned Bounds To have & to hold the Above Granted Premises Unto her the Sd. Dorothy Barrett her
heirs & Assigns to her & their Own Use & Benefit & also I the Sd. Ephraim Day Do for My Self My heirs
Executors Administrators Covenant With her the Sd. Dorothy Barrett that At & Untill the Ensealing these
Presents I Am Well Seized of the Premises As A good Indefeasible Estate In Simple & have good Right to
Grant & Convey the Same In Manner & form As Is Above Writen & that the Same Is free of All Incumbrances
Whatsoever & therefore I the Sd. Ephraim Day Do By these Presents Bind My Self & my heirs for Ever to
Warrant & Defend the Same Unto her the Sd. Dorothy Barrett her heirs & Assigns Against all Claims & Demands

for the Consideration of Seven Pounds & ten Shillings Lawful Money to Me In hand Paid By Benjamin
Barrett of Stafford In the County & State Aforesaid have Given granted Bargained & Sold unto him
the Sd. Benjamin Barrett One Certain Piece of land Lying In the town of Winhall So Called In the
County of Manchester & State of Vermont In America Containing Twenty five Acres Being Part of the
Eighth Lot In the Seventh Range of Lots Beginning At the North East Corner of Sd. Lot & from thence
Running South As the East Line of Sd. Lot runs forty five Rods then West A Parrellel Line With the
North Line Eighty Nine Rods then North forty five Rods to the North Line of Sd. Lot then East Eighty
Nine Rods to the first Mentioned Boarder to have & to hold the Above Granted & Bargained Premises
Unto him the Sd. Benjamin Barrett & his heirs & Assigns to his & their Own Proper Use &
Benefit & [illegible] I the Sd. Ephraim Day do By those Present Covenant With him the Sd.
Benjamin Barrett his heirs & Assigns that At & Until the Ensealing those Present I Am Well Seized
of the Premises As A Good Indefeasible Estate In fee Simple & have good Right to Bargain & Sell the
Same In Manner & form As Is Above Written & that the Same Is free & Clear of All Incumbrances

right & title In & to Sd. premises Bounded On the Northeast Part of Lot No 7 In the 7 Range from
thence runing along the highway East Eighty Rods then turning & Runing South A Parrellel Line With
the Line of Sd. Lot One hundred rods then turning & Runing -------------
Westardly Parrellel With the Line On Sd. Road Eighty rods then Running Northerly On the Line of
Sd. Lot One hundred rods to the First mentioned Bounds Supposed to Contain Fifty Acres be the
Same more Or Less With the Appurtenances thereof to him the Sd. Albert H Day his heirs & Assigns
Forever to his Own proper Use & beharf & furthermore I the Sd. Ephraim Day Do for my Self my heirs
Executors & Administrators Covenant With the Sd. Albert H. Day his heirs & Assigns that from & After

South West Corner of Sd. Lot Fifty Acres Which I have Deeded to my Son Flavius Jos Day then
