John Sirwell DAY was born on October 6, 1887, in Markel, Westmoreland
Co., PA, s/o Robert King Calhoun DAY and Mathilda (Margaret?) JACK. He was
the youngest of 6 siblings. His siblings were Jane, (b. abt. 1875), Margaret,
(b. Sept. 2, 1876, m. Robert Potzer, d. July 26, 1964), George (b. abt. 1879),
Charles (b. abt. 1881), and James (b. abt. 1884). John Sirwell DAY m. Irene
M. Dyer June 26, 1915, in Tarentum, Allegheny Co., PA. They had 5 children,
all of whom are still living
