This is a picture of my great grandfather. His name is John Albert Day.
He was known as Albert Day. He lived in Littleton/Lisbon, NH area most of his life.
He was born in Nova Scotia.

His parents names were William Day and Catherine McIntyre.
William was born about 1878 in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Catherine (Katherine) was born about 1876
in Sidney, Nova Scotia.
They were married 4 Aug 1901 at the Roman Catholic Church at Broad Cove by Banns.
William Day age 21, fisherman and son of Benjamin (fisherman) and Ann Day,
born & residing in Pope's Harbour, married Catherine MacIntyre
age 25, daughter of Allan and Flora MacIntyre, born Sidney,
Cape Breton & residing in St Rose, Inverness.

Albert was born 10 march 1906 and he married Lillian Guilmette 13 Febuary 1928.
They had 3 son's and one daughter.
His family name Day was originally Oday.

Update of 11/2/02:
I have searched the 1880 and 1881 census Pope's Harbour, Halifax, Nova Scotia
and found my William Day at <1 years old with father Benjamin age 33, fisherman
and mother Annie age 28 and a sister Hattie age 2 years old.
The family is English (not irish as my family thought) and catholic.
I was unable to find Catherine's family in the census. I am looking to
find more information on Benjamin and Annie Day of Popes Hourbor.
English origin. If anyone has information on this family I would be greatly appreciative.
Thank you,
Cindy
