John Albert Day

I need HELP. I cannot connect my Robert Day to any Day line. I have corresponded with 
a few Day reseacher. Most cannot place my Robert and few have placed him with the Jeddore Day's. 
 
Issues I have regarding Robert Day's connection to the Jeddore Day's:
#1 The name Robert is not used by that family anywhere, they use the same 
names over and over, but no Robert (pointed out to me by another
researcher). A valid point. In my line the same names were also
used over and over.

#2 The six documented children of William and Agnes were all
baptised St.Paul's Anglican Church, Halifax, but  I am told
there is no baptism on Robert (by another Day researcher).

3# My Day line from Robert to present day are Roman Catholics,
these Jeddore Day's are of the Anglican Church.   Robert Daye
WAS catholic and his wife Mary Ann Warren, I found to be
baptised as a catholic on hers and Robert's wedding Day, at St
Peters 31 Oct 1840. Why would he be catholic and his family
Anglican? 

4#If he is of this family he would have to been born 1818 or
1821, because the other six children where born 1816, 1817,
1819,1820, 1822, and 1823. I need to find his baptism, maybe he
was baptised at St Peter's church.

5# I am unable to find any such person as Lydia Harper.
Harper/Harpell ..I suppose they could be mistaken for one
another. But the only Lydia Harpell that would fit is Agnes
Harpell's sister, but at the time of Robert's birth she was
married to a Benjamin Arnold and sister Agnes was married to
William Day (1795).

6# I was raised to believe my Day's were irish, with the
original spelling being O'Day/O'Dea. However, my irish Day line
could have started with Robert Daye's wife Mary Ann Warren and
never been O'Day at all.
 
Facts on my Robert Daye (all clarified):
Robert Daye was born between 1820-22 (estimated from ages on
census reports) I dont know where he is born, but I find him in
Tangier, Popes Habour, Shoal Bay and East Halifax. Some of the
Jeddore Day's are also found in these places.

Census he can be found:
1871 East Halifax, occupation Miner age 49 (1822)
1881 Popes Harbour, occupation Fisherman age 61 (1820)
1891 Shoal Bay age 69, widower (1822)
He is listed as a widower in 1891 census and not found in 1901 census.
I estimate his death to be between 1891-1901.
He married Mary Ann Warren(who is irish descent) 31 Oct 1840 at
St Peter's (Roman Catholic)in Dartmouth, NS. His parents are
listed as William Day and Lydia Harper of Jeddore. In the
Jeddore Day genealogy, the only William Day who fits is 
William son of John Day Jr and Rachel Baker. He was born 1795,
but this William is married to Agnes Harpell. Some researchers
have attatched my Robert Daye to these parents. I am NOT
convinced.
