moved on south to what is now Pocahontas County, West Virginia, 
and settled in an area then and now known as Little Levels. 
They were apparently there as early as 1766. 
Susan: Susan and her son David were killed by Shawnee 
Indians prior to John Day Sr."s military service.

Served as an Ensign (an Army rank in those days) in the 
Revolution and as an Indian Spy in that part of Botetourt County, 
Virginia, which is now Pocahont- as County, West Virginia. Moved 
in 1785 to that part of Green County, NC, which later became 
Jefferson County, Tenn. In 1833 he applied for a pension as a 
Revolutionary veteran. His brother David and his Mother were 
killed by Indians His sisters Sarah and Martha were captured 
by Indians and rescued. This all happened in Frederick County, 
Virginia in 1756. Esther: Esther is listed as probably 
being a Drennin.

Could be this one or perhaps he named his son Benjamin in which 
case it could be the son. Mary: Mary was daughter of Isaac Hill.
   Children:
     i    Boy Day b. 5-Oct-1794, Bucks Cty, Pa., d. Unknown.  
          Later moved to Frederick County, Virginia.
