REPLIES Re: John Day ca1682 PA (Quaker) (Billy Day) (19-Dec-98 13:24:24) Nita, I saw your post about Days being Quakers. As far as I know, our oldest Day relative was Robert Day living in Washington County Georgia back around 1770. He was also a Quaker. As far as where he was born, we do not know. However, the info I have says he was born in either Va. or Pa. Robert Sr. was supposed to be born around 1735-40, and he was married to Elizabeth Adams. If you have any info about Robert Day being a Quaker and being from Pennsylvania, I would very much appreciate your reply to this post. Billy Day Definetly@msn.com

Nicholas Day 1635 - 1998 Monday, 16-Nov-98 23:45:36 Message: 205.188.193.33 writes: My history includes Nicholas Day from Wales who married Sarah Cox in Baltimore Co., MD. Another Nicholas Day, a descendant of the above, was born to John Day and lived in Burke Co., NC. Here the information gets sketchy. I have a Nicholas Day born in Burke Co., NC that moved to Walker Co., GA but I am unable to attach him to his father.... This Nicholas Day married Lydia Bailey. He had a slew of children, including John B. Day (1832) who served in the Civil War and was pensioned for the loss of his right shoulder and arm. John B. had a son he named Nicholas as well, and this man had a twin brother named Hiram. Hiram is my great grandfather. I would like to tie these familes together....if you have ANY information on the Burke County, NC or Walker Co., GA Day families, I would greatly appreciate an e-mail. I will gladly share the information I have collected thus far. Thanks! : ) Stephanie Day DeepCynic@aol.com

He married Caroline Farrow and they had 5 children, of whom the secon one was William Alonzo, born Apr 25 in Chicota, Lamar County TX. I would love to be able to help Carlos and come up with anything at all for him on his DAY family. Thanks! Sue REPLIES RE: IRA J. DAY - LAMAR COUNTY TEXAS (Billy Day) (23-Nov-98 20:23:09) We have Ira as the son of Elbert E. Day and the Grandson of Robert Day III. Robert Day III was born in Georgia (Wilkes or Clark Co we think)and he married Sarah Johnston also from Georgia. Elbert married Anna Mariah Walker in Lawerence county Ms. Robert, Elbert, David, Benjamine, and Jonathan all moved to Amite County Ms in about 1810. Robert and Elbert moved to Attala and Yazoo Counties Ms. Elbert moved to Walker County Texas in about 1850, and Ira went with him I think. All I have on Ira is that he was last seen on the 1850 Census in Attala co Ms living next door to his Grandfather Robert Day III. Ira was married to a Caroline ? , and they had two children named Sam and Lena Ann. That seems to be about all I can tell you about Ira Day, other than Ira was born in Ms. in about 1826-27 Billy Day Definetly@msn.com
