Richard Day stated on a census in Vandalia, IL that he was born in NC. The family then moved to Logan Co., KY. I have checked the census in NC and found a Henry Day in Stokes Co., NC on the census until he drops off and a Henry Day shows on the census in Logan Co., KY. Henry Day was married to Hannah Grayham (or Graham). I believe these were Richards' parents because Richards' first child was named Hannah G. Day. The Day, Duncan, Brown and Browning families all intermarried and moved from Logan Co., KY to Vandalia, IL. Below is my direct line from Richard Day. I am trying to find proof that Henry was his father and then go back from there. My great grandfather said the name was O'Day at one time.
