NC Day Line

I had always been told that our Days came from Ireland and were
originally O'Dea. The oldest Day ancestor in America that
I have is Henry b. early 1800's possibly 1822, and lived in
either NC or SC. I find Henry living in Ga. with his family
in 1850, however different census' say NC and some say SC.
I f anyone can give me some ideas on how to connect
to my first America Day, please, please help me...
