What does it mean to become a Christian? Take a walk with me down the "Romans Road" and I'll show you what the Bible has to say.
Romans 3:10 As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 10:9,10,13 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Becoming a Christian is so easy. Just confess your sinful state to God and accept the love-gift that His Son Jesus gave you by dying on a cruel Roman cross in your place. Pray something like this:
Dear Heavenly Father, I realize that I am a sinner. I know that, on my own, I can't make it. I accept your Son, Jesus Christ, as my personal Savior. I yield my life totally to your control. Please save me and make me the person you want me to be. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
