IN THE VALLEY
I am walking in the valley
Where the shadows hover low,
Not a ray of sun to cheer me
As I, weary, onward go.
But I see the Savior's footprints
As He walked before me here,
And His Spirit gently Guides me
So I know I need not fear.
Does my Lord desire to teach me
By this walk in shades of night
That my walk must one of faith be
Rather than a walk of sight?
Every valley has an end
And when I've gone the last dark mile
I shall walk again with gladness
In the sunlight of His smile!
