Thats what I wrote on the very first day, when Azaadi was released:

Great news for Junoonis alover the world. Junoon have released their fifth album: Azaadi. The album is released today (1/9/97). I just brought the album and have listened it just once. Its really hard for me to let you know how the album is, because being junooni, I am finding each and every song better than the previous one, hehe. I thought to create this page, because there are several junoonis who cannot get hand on the album, so soon.

The cover of the album is not much impressive. Unlike previous albums, there are no pictures of group members on the cover. The good thing is that Junoon have dedicated their this album to the memories of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

The album starts with Khudi. Khudi is basically one of the most popular ghazals of Allama Iqbal. They have also released the video of Khudi, being telecast daily on PTV. I will try to upload the songs & lyrics on this page, soon. (as soon as I download some software for RA compression). For the list of songs, -----------CLICK HERE.

O.k, now for the second song, "yaar bina dil mera nahin lag da, yaar bina dil mera nahin lag da,....kuch mujhe yaar ki judaai mar gay, kuch mujhey nain ki (whatever) maar gaye, ho gaye zindagi pirayi yaar ki, kaisey ub main du dohai yaar ki, ". Well dont you think sometimes it so happens that you cant express your emotions in words, same case with me right now, in simple, the song is tremendously sung, thumbs up for Ali. Sayooni, a typical junoon song. a nice one, as well. With lot of chorus.

Well I (although wanted to) but cant cover the whole album, because I am not a critic or a writer, i am just a fan, a junooni.
