Fear

A fear of the unknown,

And all that it entails,

A dread of vast oblivion,

And life's uncertain trails.

Miscommunication of the world's adored elite,

Terrified of failure,

And the horror of defeat.

Loss of childhood innocence,

A faultless spirit stained.

Never let them see you cry,

The immaculate are trained.

Life is never easy,

Or void of any fright.

Dreams will never thrive,

Without putting up a fight.

But what's the use of fighting,

Without a worthy cause?

What's the use of dreaming,

If your life is filled with loss?
