Eagles Flight
Soaring gracefully in wide open skies,
How I envy you.
Wings spread, uplifted in flight,
So free you are.
What do you see when you gaze down,
Your vision so keen and sharp?
Do you see me as the person I really am?
Or so much more?
What currents direct your paths?
Against gentle breezes and strong winds,
You still take flight.
I can only watch in amazement,
Watch as you soar.
You have no fear, no worry, no cares.
The skies are your home.
I close my eyes, lost in the fantasy;
Imagine flying above with you.
And I can’t help but dream of the day
When I too can soar.
