Eternity
Quietly you called my name,
Like the gentle breeze caressing the tree tops.
And I answered not with my lips, but with my heart.
And I took your hand as we floated effortlessly
On gentle wings of love,
High above the clouds.
Floating higher and higher, until we left the earth behind.
The birds in the sky serenaded us with their songs.
We basked in the fiery glow of the sun.
You reached for me, to pull me closer,
And I trembled, not from fear,
But from your touch.
I felt the summers breeze, like raindrops,
Touching upon petals of freshly opened roses.
And as the breeze died down, it was only us
Left in this crazy world; this madness of our souls.
We found each other, we reached out,
To touch this love we have known.
And we became not two,
but one soul together, leaving everything behind,
Losing ourselves in our love,
Finding eternity.
