In the eyes of a child
I see trust
For they have never known betrayal.
In the eyes of a child
I see wonder
For they still take time to enjoy the small things in life.
In the eyes of a child
I see hope
For their hopes have not been crushed.
In the eyes of a child
I see dreams
No one has yet told them the world is not theirs for the taking.
In the eyes of a child
I see forever
Oh, to be a child again.
