Finality
Words that should have been said,
No longer needed.
Tears once shed as if in mourning,
Now dry.
Bands that symbolized eternity,
Lie at the bottom of a jewelry box,
Hidden from site.
Pictures packed in a dusty box,
Are all that even show
That “we” once were.
It would be so much easier,
If I could bury my feelings
Like we bury our dead.
