My Friend
(This poem was written for a couple very good friends here on the net...you know who you are, I don't have to mention your names...Thanks for being there for me)
You walked into my world
Out of the blue.
You entered my life;
Then entered my heart.
You brushed aside cobwebs
And found pieces of me hidden in dusty corners.
You listened when I talked.
Understood when I had no words.
Laughed when I laughed.
Cried when I cried.
You boosted my spirits when I was down,
And brought me higher when I was up.
You offered advice,
But did not push your views on me.
And now, as I face new challenges,
I do not fear;
I no longer go alone.
My life has been richly blessed,
For you are my friend.
