Quiet Summer Morn
Whispers on a quiet summer morning,
Promises not meant to keep.
And as I turn to watch you go,
A tear falls down my face.
What is this we have created?
They say love knows no boundaries.
But even love is not strong enough
To bridge this distance between us.
Two hearts, that once beat in sync,
Now beat alone.
Two souls, that once love embraced,
Now long for comfort.
And my heart cries out for you once more...
But you only walk away,
On a quiet summer morn.
