The Owl
Who is this bird?
Fly by night, in day you rest.
No flock for you
In your solitary quest.
Wise beyond your years,
Or so it seems.
Have you given up on all?
Or do you still have dreams?
Who is this bird?
This bird I see.
Do you long for a companion
Or company?
I watch you fly,
Spread you wings in flight.
So lost and alone
On this quiet night.
Who is this bird?
Will you answer me?
Flying alone
Your soul is free.
Who is this bird?
This bird I see.
Who is this bird?
So much like me.
