Bunker
Hill
A
continuation of Fluxus Continuum, Bunker Hill was the genesis of the band
that would change its line-up for every live performance. The group
(named after the subdivision in Shamokin where both Billy Bacas and Ffej
reside) was proposed by Bacas after the group came to the realization that
Fluxus Continuum was too wordy and hard to remember. Matt Homiak
begged for Funkopotamus, but eventually succumbed to the incessant persuasion
of Bacas. Though Bunker Hill constantly shifted members, the core
trio of Ffej, Homiak and Joe Wagner remained intact throughout the band's
career. Their EP (though actually long enough to be a full length
album), LVC, is representative of the brand of experimental, improvisational,
groove-oriented music the group was doing at the time.
