Planet Ass
Planet
Ass is the brainchild of Ffej. What began as the Ffej's Album
experiment mutated into a full-fledged recording project. With the
help of engineer Bill Kovatch, Planet Ass came to life with a batch
of Ffej-penned tunes including "Forty-Five Degree Angle Man" and "Drunk
Fat Ladies." The debut collection of 1996 recordings represents Ffej's
first true solo effort, something he refers to as "a swell collection of
tunes." After a two-year recording hiatus, Planet Ass returned with
the purchase of Ffej's new 4-track recorder. Ffej has since released
Helping to Make the Ozone a Better Place and most recently, Pure
Ffej, an album written and recorded solely by Ffej. Both releases
offer a diverse mix of musical styles and moods. Look for new Planet
Ass material frequently, as Ffej plans to continue recording at his home
studio, Left Orbit. Ffej is also cutting a 4-song EP of previously
released material at Lebanon Valley College, which should see the light
of day by eqarly 2003. Expect "the big mass of ass" to continue to
push musical boundaries by exploring rock, pop, space, electronic, and
groove-oriented music.
