Louise Sorel

Louise Sorel joined "Days of Our Lives "as the manipulative Vivian Alamain in March 1992. Five years later, she won the 1997 "Soap Opera Digest" Award as Female Showstopper. Sorel also played Augusta Lockridge on "Santa Barbara" and Judith Sanders on "One Life to Live." Her prime-time credits include "Knots Landing," "Star Trek," "Bonanza," "Ladies’ Man," "Sunset Limousine" and "Zorro." She appeared in the feature films "Plaza Suite," "Airplane II," "Where the Boys Are, 1984," "Every Little Crook and Nanny," "P.S. I Love You" and Ken Russell’s "Crimes of Passion." She has starred in numerous Broadway productions, including "Philadelphia, Here I Come"; "Man & Boy"; "Take Her, She’s Mine"; "The Dragon;" "Lorenzo"; and "The Sign in Sydney Brustein’s Window." Born in Los Angeles, Sorel studied French at the Institut de Francais in Ville Franche-Sur-Mer. During her time away from the studio, she enjoys traveling to New York City and to Europe. Her birthday is August 6.
