Was irish catholiic from Derry County, Ireland; settled in Maryland and then he traveled into Marshall and Brooke Counties, VA.

Some of his family buried in West Alexander Cemetary.

NOTES ABOUT THE FAMILY VIA HANDWRITTEN NOTES AND MEMORIES

Note #1: John Cain lived in the upper end of Dutch Fork lake on little Buffalo Creek in 1880.
Note #2: William Cain stayed with his son John on little Buffalo Creek.
Note #3: John's family is buried in West Alexander Cemetary.

Note #4: William and Emerson Cain worked at the Hazel Atlas No. 2 plant.
