To dispel negativity in the workplace.
One votive candle (Black or green)
Cinnamon
Peppermint
Sage
Salt
Carve rune for protection on one side, for defense on the other. Mix sage, cinnamon, peppermint and salt together and rub into candle, concentrating on getting it into the carved places.
Invoke as follows…
Goddess protect the lighter of this candle from all negativity at work.
Enable her/him to grow, succeed, and be happy in a productive environment.
Guard him/her from careless and mean spirited words and deeds.
So mote it be.
Sprinkle with holy water, and wrap or put away.
Candle may be given as a gift or a charm to the person needing help, with the following instructions.
Light during the waxing moon, between new and full. Upon lighting, say the following.
Candle's light, burn bright
Keep me safe from petty spite
Cast your flame,
On darkness reign,
My wishes go with you tonight.
Allow the candle to burn completely, do not blow it out. Then, in time, your wishes shall be fulfilled.
Car Amulet
Three and a half ounces (3 1/2 oz.) unsweetened Applesauce
Five and a half ounces (5 1/2oz) powdered Cinnamon, Cedar, or
Sandalwood.
Yarn or twine
Toothpick or other inscribing instrument
Rolling pin or straight sided glass
Round cookie cutter or glass
Dragon's Blood Ink and pen
The Method:
To make several Car protection Amulets, mix the applesauce and powdered incense together, until a thick dough is formed. (You might need a little more or less of both items.)
Roll the dough into a ball and then flatten it with your hand. Next, use the rolling pin to roll the dough into a half inch thickness.
Cut out the dough with a small cookie cutter, or use the rim of a glass.
Let it sit undisturbed for fifteen minutes or so to dry out slightly.
Using the illustration as a guide, inscribe the dough with the two symbols, one on each side. (Let it sit a few minutes before inscribing the flip side.)
Pierce the dough to make a hole for stringing.
Let the amulet sit undisturbed until it is
completely dry.
Using Dragon's Blood Ink, trace the runes.
Allow to dry completely.
Consecrating:
Do your normal ritual preparation and start.
Lay the thoroughly dried (unstringed) amulet
on your altar.
Do a protection tool dedication as your trad dictates.
When you consecrate the amulet, pass one side (slowly) over the Goddess Candle, invoking her protection. Allow the soot from the candle to darken the amulet.
Repeat for the flip side using the God candle.
Close out the ritual as your trad dictates.
Use a soft cloth to wipe off the excess soot,
allowing the soot to remain in the inscribed
runes.
String the amulet. Hang it in your car.
Full Moon Esbat Rite
From the book: Green Witchcraft by Ann Moura
Preparing your altar:
Candles: Blue-white-orange or green-white-red.
Incense: Bay, Sandalwood or frankincense
Have any spell work materials ready on the altar.
Full Moon Esbat Rite
Sweep circle area; lay out circle and altar items; bathe and robe. Light incense and altar candles. Ring bell three times and say:
The circle is about to be cast and I freely stand within to greet my Lady and Lord.
Take center candle (there are either three in a candelabra or one before each section of the altar) and light each candle of the circle moving north, then east, south and west, and say:
(N) I call upon light and earth at the North to illuminate and
strengthen the circle.
(E) I call upon light and air at the East to illuminate and enliven
the circle.
(S) I call upon light and fire at the south to illuminate and warm
the circle
(W) I call upon light and water at the west to illuminate and
cleanse the circle
Take athame in hand upraised and begin circle at north. Move around the circle north to east to south to west, and say:
I draw this circle in the presence of the Goddess and God where they may come and bless their child (state your name) Lower the athame at the North, and as you walk around the circle, envision a blue light shooting out from the point and forming the circle boundary, and say:
This is the boundary of the circle.
Only love shall enter and leave.
Return to altar and ring bell three times. Place point of athame in the salt and say:
Salt is life and purifying.
I bless this salt to be used in this sacred circle in the names of
the Goddess and God (names)
Pick up bowl of salt and use tip of athame to drop three portions of salt into the water bowl and set salt bowl back in its place. Stir three times with athame and say:
Let the blessed salt purify this water that it may be blessed to use in this sacred circle. In the names of the Goddess and God I consecrate and cleanse this water.
Take the salted water bowl in hand and sprinkle water fro it as you move deosil around the circle (N_E_S_W_N) and say:
I consecrate this circle in the names of the Goddess and the God. The circle is conjured a circle of power that is purified and sealed. So mote it be!
Return the water bowl to the altar and pick up censer; take it around the circle to cense it; return censer to a Take anointing oil and make a solar cross (or pentacle) on your forehead and say:
I (your name) am consecrated in the names of the Goddess and God in this their circle.
Take the wand and hold it aloft, with both arms open and upraised, at the north of the circle (envision a powerful bull arriving) and say:
I call upon you, Elemental Earth, to attend this rite and guard this circle, for as I have body and strength, we are kith and kin
Lower wand and move to the East, raise up wand (see fairy's, or an eagle in flight) and say:
I call upon you, Elemental Air, to attend this rite and guard this circle, for as I breathe and think, we are kith and kin.
Lower wand and move to the South, raise up wand (see dragon) and say:
I call upon you, Elemental Fire, to attend this rite and guard this circle, for as I consume life to live, we are kith and kin.
Lower wand and move to the West, raise up wand (see a dolphin, undine or sea serpent) and say:
I call upon you Elemental Water, to attend this rite and guard this circle, for as I feel and my heart beats, we are kith and kin.
Return to altar and use wand to draw in the air above the altar the symbol of infinity (an 8 lying on its side), the sign of working between 2 worlds. Set wand on altar, raise up athame in both hands over head, and say:
Hair to the elementals at the four quarters!
Welcome Lady and Lord to this rite.
I stand between worlds with love and power all around.
Set down athame and pick up goblet of wine. Pour a little into the cauldron. This is a libation to the Divine in which they are honored by offering them the first draught, then you take a sip. You may prefer to have a bowl specifically for the libation. Ring bell three times. Raise the wand in greeting and say:
I (state your craft or working name), who am your child, stand between the worlds and call upon my Lady and Lord, to hold communion with me.
Ring bell three times and say:
If it harms none, do what you will.
Thus runs the Witches rede.
Once more I affirm my joy of life and union with the Lady and the
Lord.
I honor the God and the Goddess for the favors they have bestowed
upon me, and ask their blessings upon me.
Set the salted water on the pentacle, hold the athame over it, and say:
Great mother, bless this creature of water and of earth to your
service.
May I always remember the cauldron waters of rebirth and the many
forms and beings of the blessed earth.
Of water and earth am I
Hold water bowl aloft and say:
Great mother I honor you!
( by using the water you are showing respect for the Lady by using the element that represents her in this ritual)
Replace the bowl in its proper place on the altar. Place censer on the pentacle, hold athame over it and say:
Great Father bless this creature of fire and of air to your
service.
May I always remember the sacred fire that dances within every
creation and hear the voices of the divine.
Of fire and air am I.
Raise the censer aloft and say:
Great Father I honor you!
Return censer to the proper place on the altar. Raise the cup of wine aloft and say:
Power and Grace;
beauty and strength are in the Lady and the Lord both.
Patience and love, wisdom and knowledge.
I honor you both!
Pour a libation into the cauldron and take a sip of wine. Stand at the altar, facing North, open arms upraised and feet apart and say:
Behold the Great Lady who travels the sky,; the stars shine bright around Her and light up the night.
Take up wand and say:
Lovely Lady known by so many names, but known to me as (name) with (God's name) at your side, honor and reverence I give to you and invite you to join with me on this, your special night. Descend, my Lady and speak with your child whom you have named (craft or working name)
At this time you may hear her speak something pertinent to you, or if you needed guidance on a matter, she may instruct you. Replace the wand on the altar. You may now do any spell work, divination's, consecrations at this time.
Cakes and Ale if desired
When all is finished, hold athame in your power hand level over the altar and say:
Lord and Lady , I am blessed by your sharing this time with me, watching and guarding me, and guiding me her and in all things. I came in love and I depart in love.
Raise up athame in a salute and say:
Love is the law and love is the bond.
Merry did I meet, merry do I part,
and merry will I meet again.
The circle is now cleared.
So mote it be!
Kiss the flat of the blade and set the athame on the altar. Take up the snuffer and so to the North quarter, raise up arms and say:
Depart in peace, Elemental Earth, My blessings take with you. (Follow this for each of the three remaining elementals.)
Return to altar and say:
Beings and power of the visible and invisible, depart in peace! You aid me in my work, whisper in my mind and bless me from the Otherworld, and there is harmony between us. My blessings take with you. The circle is cleared
Take up athame, go to the North quarter, point athame down and move widdershins (counter clockwise) around circle (N_W_S_E_N), envision the blue light drawing back into the athame and say:
The circle is open yet the circle remains as its magickal power is drawn back into me.
When you return to the North having walked the circle, raise up the athame so the blade touches your forehead and envision the blue light swirling around back into you. Return to altar and say:
The ceremony is ended.
Blessings have been given and received,
may the peace of the Goddess and God remain in my heart.
So mote it be!
A Birth Dedication
Cast a circle and call the quarters.
Holding the child to face the heavens say: "O Lady of starry heavens, wise All-Father, behold this lovely child, (name). Conceived and brought forth in love. Bless and protect him/her and grant the gifts of wisdom, inspiration, and wonder." Holding the child to face the ground say: "Hail Earth, Mother of all. This is my infant, my love, and my jewel. Bless and protect him/her, granting Your enduring and eternal strength and steadfastness. May he/she ever have a spirit that seeks the stars and roots deep within Thy loving breast". Hold the child close to your heart and join heart beats. If there other witches present at the dedication, each would take a turn to kiss the baby and say: "In Perfect Love and Perfect Trust I welcome you, child of (mother's name) and (father's name) and Child of Earth. May the gift of (name a quality or strength that you wish for the child to have ie Health, Dexterity etc.) be thine little brother/sister." When all are done close the circle and dismiss the quarters.
A Celtic Blessing . . . with humor
May those who love us,love us
And those that don't love us,
May God turn their hearts:
And if he doesn't turn their hearts
May He turn their ankles
So we'll know them by their limping.

A Protection Charm
Items needed:
White candle
Incense (sage or other protection incense)
Item to cast spell on
(Necklace or ring works best something you were at all times)
Salt or chalk to cast the circle
(If indoors use imagery to cast circle)
Set altar facing North so you stand in the south in protection Light candle and incense Take the object into left hand and concentrate on the energy it gives the good feeling you get from that item. Concentrating on that feeling energize the feeling as you pass the item through the flame three times each time feeling the bond getting stronger.
Now hold object in both hands and feeling the bond hold it up to the Goddess and say the following:
Who ever holds to hinder here,
From roads that's right,
From quests that's clear,
Think not to trick with tongue untrue,
Nor veil the vision nor the vision
Look nor to lose nor lead astray,
Whoever wields this warden of way,
These runes where wrote,
These spells where spun,
By son of Croix, Sinjun.
Now pass the object through the incense seeing the energy of protection being sealed in and activated. Now raise object once more to the Goddess so She may add her blessing to it and snuff the candle.
Cleansing Ritual
(Anoint forehead with saltwater)
I cleanse my thoughts,
that they might be pure and honest.
(Anoint throat)
I cleanse my voice,
that all I say might be for good.
(Anoint heart)
I cleanse my heart,
that it might be open, giving, and full of light.
Grant that I may give freely of my love to others.
(Anoint hands)
I cleanse my hands,
that I might use them only for good.
(Anoint feet)
I cleanse my feet,
that they might take me far in life.
That my journeys may be filled with love, light, and
peace.
A Banishing Spell to clear out pesky spirits
Take four black candles and put them at each of the cardinal points of your house. Next to each candle put a piece of onyx or lodestone or a piece of magnetized iron. Light the four candles and see them sucking up all the negative energy in the house and channeling it back into the earth through the stones. Next take a stick of incense (frankincense or sandalwood is best) and draw a banishing pentagram of Earth* at each window, wall, door and corner of your house. Visualize the negative energy being pushed beyond the pentagram and locked outside as you complete it. After the candles have burned a bit and you feel that the have absorbed the negative energies bury them outside around the house (in the four directions) . Leave the stones where they are, and visualize them as a spiritual electric fence that keeps your visitor from coming back in. Usually after being drained and forced outside, spirits tend to move on, but be prepared to do the spell again if he is persistent.
*Start at lower left then up to top then down to right then across to upper left point and back to upper right point and finish at lower left point.

make from the leaves a strengthening tea.
Drink it and keep your kitchen well.
CREATING A RITUAL SPRINKLING BUNDLE******************
Items needed; Sage, rosemary, mint blue yarn, knife.
Start by gathering fresh herbs, of about twelve to fifteen inches long.
Gently shake of any dust. If they must be washed do it gently and dry carefully. Bundle the leafy stems together. Hold your left hand and lay a hanging loop of yarn, extending a few inches above the ends of the herbs. Start wrapping a few inches above the ends of the herbs. Start wrapping the long end around the herb bundle and hanging loop end. Focus on your use for this herb bundle. (for room purification ritual). Continue winding the yarn around, being sure that the yarns lie falt against each other. Do this until you have gone up the bundle three or four inches. Next wrap the yarn around the herb doesil, about one inch between the yarns. Keep it taut. When you get to the top; reverse the herb and do the same process back to the handle. (this forms a criss cross pattern.) Make a slip knot over the top portion of the handle to secure it. Continue to wrap the handle portion. Cut off the free yarn, leaving a three inch tail. Tie the end of the yarn aroung the hanging loop. Tuck the free end under the handle.
To use; Dip the bundle into a chalice of ritual water. Sprinkle the area by shaking the bundle at it. Be sure to extend your arm out fully to allow the powers to flow freely.
Blessings of love and light,
Protection Potion
2-4 cups of spring water (or rain water)
1tsp of iron shavings
1tsp of vervain (grind w/ a mortar and pestle first)
2 tsp of sea salt
2 tsp myhrr (ground as above)
2 tsp frankensense (use the resin form, ground fine)
a pinch of wolf's hair (from a live and shedding wolf)
a pinch of graveyard dust (from someone whom you admired for their
courage)
Simmer to break down the herbs and thin it out a bit. This is best done on the full moon.
Orphic invocations of Goddess & God
Bright Blessings to all... Here are invocations to the Goddess and God that I have used quite successfully in ritual. They are from the Orphic Hymns, for those who like historical accuracy, but have been updated just a tad, for those who like ritual with modern applications. Hope you enjoy them.
Invocation to the Goddess
Divine are Your honors, Oh Mother of the Gods and Nurturer of All. Yoke your swift chariot drawn by bull-slaying lions and, O Mighty Goddess who brings things to pass, join our prayers. Many named and reverend, You are the Queen of the Sky. In the cosmos, Your throne is above all others, for You are Queen of the Earth, and You give gentle nourishment to mortals. Goddesses, Gods, and mortals were born of You, And You hold sway over the rivers and all of the sea. Hestia, Gaia, Demeter, Inanna, Isis, Astarte, Ishtar, Persephone, Diana,
Giver of prosperity who bestows upon mortals all manner of gifts, Come to this Rite, Queen whom the drum delights. Honored and loving Nurturer of Life, Joyfully and graciously visit our deeds of piety. Blessed Be.
Invocation to the God
Hear Our Prayer, O best and Many-Named God.
Fine-haired, solitary, and full of lovely song;
Many shaped and noble nurturer of all,
Maiden and yout in one, unwithering bloom, O Adonis
You vanish and grow again in the fair seasons' turn.
Kurnunnos, Pan, Myrddhn, two horned Spirit of growth and blooming;
Much loved and wept for are you,
O Fair and Youthful Hunter of the luxuriant mane.
Desire is in Your mind and You come to the Goddess
in reverence and respect,
in sensuous joy is your desire fulfilled
You are the seed planted in the depths of the Underworld
That springs forth, the Green God, that we may sustain our lives.
You sacrifice Yourself in gentleness when you are grown.
Come Kind-Hearted One, Come Blesseed God,
and bring much joy to all.
Blessed Be.
Hope you find these beneficial...
Briget Bless...Phaedra.
THE COVEN SPELL
O ancient ones of heaven, earth and sea,
We chant the coven spell, thus shall it be!
To music of the night-wind blowing free,
We chant the coven spell, thus shall it be!
The owl hoots within the hollow tree,
The black cat runs by night silently,
The toad beneath the stone dwells secretly,
We chant the coven spell, thus shall it be!
To moon that draws the tides of air and sea,
We chant the coven spell, thus shall it be!
To god that bides beneath the greenwood tree,
We chant the coven spell, thus shall it be!
By witches' garter bound about the knee,
By staff and cauldron and all powers that be,
We will the thing in our minds we see,
We chant the coven spell, thus shall it be!
(Pause..........)
The Spell is flowing like the sea,
The spell is growing like the tree,
Like flame that burns and blazes free.
We chant the spell, thus shall it be!
We chant the spell, thus shall it be!
We chant the spell, thus shall it be!
IT IS!

(say the colour of the thing and then the colour you want it to be).
It will change to the colour you want if you have done it right.
