For where 2 or 3 come together in my name, there am I with them. Poor eyes limit your sight; poor vision limits your deeds. Choose a goal for which you are willing to exchange a piece of your life. Too many of us strive for new abilities instead of striving to develop abilities we already have lying within us. Practice makes perfect, so be careful what you practice. A fool tells what he will do; a boaster what he has done; the wise man does it and says nothing. Excellence resides in quality not in quantity. The best is always few and rare. A person who is to be happy must actively enjoy his blessings. Faith makes things possible; it does not make them easy. The best way to become the first fiddler in the orchestra is to do the very best one can at playing "second fiddle." If I can put one touch of rosy sunset into the life of a man or woman, I shall feel that I have worked with God. When we forget ourselves, we usually do something that everyone else remembers. Vision is the world's most desparate need. There are no hopeless situations, only people who think hopelessly. Our grand business is not to see what lies dimly at a distance, but what lies clearly at hand. The only gift is a portion of thyself. Enthusiasm is the key not only to the achivement of great things but to the accomplisment of anything that is worthwhile. The grand essentials for happines are: something to do, something to love, something to hope for. If the world is cold, make it your business to buil fires. The treasures which are kept in the coffers are not real, but only those which are kept in the soul. When you can do the common things of life in an uncommon way you will command the attention of the world. It is right to be contented with what we have, but never with what we are. When God wants to grow a squash He grows it in one summer; but when He wants to grow an oak He takes a century. The poor man is not he who is without a cent, but he who is without a dream. You cannot climb uphill by thining downhill thoughts. Some persons think they have made a sucess of their life when all they have made is money. Sometimes life has a way of putting us on our backs in order to force us to look up.
