Another old and very strange one is, I think, based on a prison camp scene in The Last Emperor or another movie specifically about the Chinese Cultural Revolution. I don't remember the events so much as the setting, which is very sinister. Bowie and me are in a large lecture hall being denounced by a large audience, intent on "re-education," who stand up and rave about criminal activities and mindsets. I think Bowie is wearing a large dunce cap. However the roles seem to blur and everyone seems to start denouncing everyone else. This was a very disturbing dream. Now that I write it down I see a lot of connections with 1.Outside and "A Small Plot of Land" but I had this dream many years before the album came out.
