A desperate call..a child in tears
Your gentle voice calmed all her fears
With skill and love you held her hand
Then spoke with words she'd understand

That teenage boy who took the dare
Now looked to you for hope and care
Gazing into eyes once bright
Telling him "you have to fight"

A baby born that could not wait
Your touch was meant to be her fate
You held your breath..at last.. her cries
Tears held back slid from your eyes

Racing in you find her there
So small..so frail and unaware
Your voice of calm and special tone
Assures her she is not alone

You're loved for everything you gave
For every life you fought to save
Stand tall ..be proud..and know your worth
God's angels sent for us on earth.
