· Nursing Home Christmas Day in two weeks. We would like to have people
that can play instruments and sign. We would just like to have a lot of
people there to show them a good time. They will love to see you and it
will really mean a lot to them- more than you know.
Lydia:
She and Kristen took the food that they collected to city team. Ask her
about it.
Darren:
The food bank trips have been going well and he said that it was great to
see so many people and so many new people and that they are getting a lot
of stuff done. Soon they will be making Christmas boxes so please take part
in that.
Josh:
Planning a party for Sheila. More information next week. Think of ideas.
Mike:
WE NEED A TREASURER!! Maybe it is you!! think about it.
The thing on the Friday after thanksgiving. Let him know if you want to go
and want to catch a ride. Brooke will also be driving and whiling to pick
you up. She is coming from somewhere else that I forgot to write down- well
I wrote it down but my handwriting was so bad that I cannot tell what it
says. I think that it startes with a "d".
We will be having a spring break trip.

Overall we said great.

Upcoming Pretty Big Events:
** November 3rd (Monday) - Forum with Eastern Administration, a time for voicing questions and concerns. It is very important that we attend this as a group, YACHT shirts and all. A time will be posted.
** November 14th (Friday) - This is the last day for the SGA food drive. Please make this a priority. The Church Outreach people will be in charge of contacting local congregations, etc. See Debbie Landis, Denise Mellinger or Linda Hernandez to help.
Also… "Haunted By God" 8pm @ Germantown Friends School. This is a one-woman play about Dorothy Day, the founder of the Catholic Worker Movement. Info? See Michelle. (she’s going)

** FOOD BANK - Wednesdays from 3-7pm. Sign up if you want to go by calling Mandy Foster x5366 or Darren Brown x5220. They need at least 5 people a week to go. BTW - This can count for community service hours.
** Nursing Home - Tuesdays from 5-7pm. They have been having a great time! Talk to Amanda Van Deman (x5258) Christyn Friel (x5203) or Heather Taylor(x5106) if you want to join them.
** Saturday lunch distribution - Yes. Every Saturday unless otherwise noted. 9am @ Marriott
** Angel Tree Project - Korryn Delmanto is working on this project, buying Christmas presents for kids. Talk to her if you wanna help. (x5283)
** T-shirt Design CONTEST!! - We need a new YACHT shirt design. Give it a shot. The only requirement is that it say YACHT (Youth Against…) somewhere.
** IT IS GETTING COLD!! -- Blankets, winter clothes, socks, hats, gloves. Donations are needed! Whatever you can get, from wherever.

for the hunger people where he is and he would like us to help him fund it-

* Ali Lien visited and shared about the YACHT club that she has started in
NC- they have been going for three weeks- keep her in your prayers

* IF you are going to the conference there will be a meeting in the
McInnis Lobby at 3pm on Wednesday.
* Some people shared about the trip to philly on Saturday. - Kwanza said
that they took 71 lunches but they needed so much more and Lori also talked
about the day.
* The meetings are going to be in KEA from now on.

can take as many people as would like to go, but they need at least 5.
· -Brooke spoke about the research group and said that she has stuff for you
to do- interesting stuff.,
· -Brook also said that she is going to a large rally protesting the death
penalty on the 18th- if anyone would like to go. It will be totally awesome
and there will be music. poetry, Jesse Jackson and much more. She will have
more info later.

not all!!! The Yacht grand total- t-shirt and everything = $1905.37
· -Scott and Mike meet with some guys about the whole thing and they said
that they will be having PAPA again next year and are thinking of making a
stage- whatever..
· -Mike said we need those good stuff buckets Jen reported that here are none in Gallup, They took the ones from Hainer, Scott and Lori Anderson are going to get them for the New Dorm, Sarah Davison will get them from Doane and Ellie Hoffman will get them from Kea.

collect monetary donations.
· -Megan and Debbie are making a list of everything that we have and need to
sell at Homecoming.
· -Michelle said that she is taking people to the city on Saturday and she

· -Amie is working on the vans for the conference- things are going well.

to tell them what to bring and what not to bring and all that good stuff.

Civil Disobedience oops I mean Civil Education Awareness- This is an up and coming small group. What it involves is: research, going to town meetings, protesting, and making statements. This is V-I-T-A-L. It will research what effects people. You will be dealing with everthing from Welfare Reform to Section 8 housing cuts. Also Saturday mornings at a Free Market in Kensington. See Brooke for details.
Mike:
Wrote a letter to Dee McCarter asking for the left-over GoodStuff buckets.
Michelle read the letter to the YACHT club. Dee made verbal confirmation that
YACHT can have them. Everyone needs to round up the extras from their dorms.
The supplies will be going to PCH (802 Broad).
Shane:
Séid minute. Found the name "Together". They are going to meet with the
lawyer on Tuesday the 30th. Pray for the buying of a home (Germantown, or St
Ed's Church).
