Jake is the leader of the Animorphs. His brother, Tom, is infested by the
yeerk. Jake became a controller after falling into a portable yeerk poll
set up at the local hospital. The yeerk was the former controller of his
brother. The yeerk died of Kadrona starvation. Rachel is Jake's cousin. Jake
has a crush on Cassie. Ax continues to call Jake "Prince" after Jake has
told him not to.
