I'm empty and aching and I don't know why...
As I type this here thingie to y'all, the Storm of the Century is dumping large quantities of snow upon the landscape...
It's that global warming thingie agin, dammit!
But anyhoo, something of interest to me though probably not to you...
I, in all my infinite wisdom, decided last week to back-up my website...
It has been there since '96 or '97 and I haven't had a complete back-up of what was there...
And ya know it's kinda funny in an archaeological kinda groove what is there...
Artifacts of previous kingdoms, the building blocks of what you see today, fragments of pages that make me want to say, "What the fuck was I thinking?"
And now I have everything at home and can actually look at it and I can say unto myself, "What the fuck was I thinking?"
Which is why I haven't until now made a back-up of my site, if it is on the server, I won't have a look at it so as not to add artifically to the counters but now I can do so without harm and some of it, I've found, is not pretty...
Buttons from the first kingdom of WeeWorld and the downright ugly backgrounds that went with the site and fragments of micro-sites that never blossomed and the pages that no longer serve any purpose shall be looted and moved off to a museum in a far-away land...
And life shall go on just as the snows continue to fall upon my little corner of this world...
But in a surreal kinda way, the neighbourhood looks like a Dali birthday cake with lots of white frosting...
Counting the cars on the New Jersey Turnpike...
They've all come to look for America...
I'm the boy with the PoetryPower...
Don't know how I shall use that to fight crime...
