A Melancholy Fall
There seems to be a chill in the air
That wasn't there
Only yesterday...
The early morning frost
The leaves that are lost
Fallen as they may...
Summer has come and gone
Fading like a long lost song
Yet through your mind it still plays...
And the snows shall fall
And Santa shall call
And warm the heart for just one day...
But for now it's cold
And my bones feel old
As the winter season comes my way...
