Shattered
It fell away, the last vestiges of
a false happiness that everyone else had seen through but him. The
clouds came back, the animals stopped talking and the laughter disappeared,
the laughter that had been so much a part of him before. The skies
were sad and the lies told by a thousand individuals straight to his face
were no longer even feasible. The world stopped revolving around
his dreams and began to revolve once more around the sun; the moon no longer
shone just for him, it now shone once more for all to see. The love
he held for the world was no more, and the world that had once loved him
now stared at him as if here were a perfect stranger.
